Two treasure hunters who took investors' money, found a sunken hoard, and then vanished, have now been arrested.
Central Ohioans invested millions in Thompson’s search for shipwreck gold in the 1980s. He came through – he and his crew salvaged 3 tons of gold, silver and artifacts from the wreck, a steamer that sank along the East Coast in 1857 ... But investors received nothing.
